Jersey Shore Pirates is still operating on the weekends and they once again offered up their vessel as the backdrop and theme of our cover this month. The Brown kids got all decked out in their pirate gear for us. Kailyn, Cash and Nixon showed us their ahoy matey smiles and donned awesome adventure hats. Great job guys! And thanks again to Rob and Jessica for their hospitality!
Although the temperatures are dropping and the days are getting shorter, I’m still out on-location shooting! There is still time for portraits at the beach, or you can take advantage of fall foliage which peaks in late October and early November. The vibrant colors serve as an awesome backdrop for family photos. We can turn any of those images into a wonderful holiday greeting card to send out this season. I have many designs and styles to choose from! And remember, portraits make GREAT gifts for the holidays.
My job as a portrait photographer is so rewarding and fun. It is wonderful to be able to do what you love and have others love what you do! While we all lead busy lives, I feel it is vital that we take the time to preserve memories and celebrate the love of family. I really hope to hear from you while the weather is still nice as I love to shoot on location as long as possible.

We’re in the thick of winter now, and boy it’s a cold one!!! But thanks to a few snow storms we were able to get a fun winter sledding picture for the cover! I was very excited to see that our model was a client of mine. It was a nice surprise to see Gianna after taking her first birthday pictures 2 years ago. Gianna hadn’t had much experience sledding so mom and dad weren’t sure if she would like it on her own. But as you can tell by her smile, she had a blast!! She would get down the short hill at Winward Beach and say “again!” It was easy to get a great shot.
Well, until the weather warms up I will be shooting in my studio. Come on in for birthday pictures, family portraits and soon enough Easter and Communion portraits. Easter is late this year, but it’s never too early to get your portraits done. Plus, this spring I am launching a new and improved dock/fishing set. As you can see from my MODEL SEARCH ad, I will be looking for 3 and 4 year old boys for portfolio building sessions. Please email if you want to take advantage of some discounts on that session and winners get featured on my website and credit toward a family beach portrait!
Stay warm and hope to hear from you all soon!

Happy New Year! I hope that everyone enjoyed the holiday season. I for one am glad the holiday
rush is behind me! I am now focused on the challenges that lie ahead in 2011. My first challenge was the January cover! Thank you to Mathnasium for allowing us to shoot in their Toms River facility. Our models were some of their students, Bailey and Kiley Farrell. We had fun solving problems on the board and playing with the fuzzy dice!
The magazine continues to focus on featuring local families on the covers and through articles about them. I will be “focusing” on studio portraits until the weather allows me to go back on location. See my ad to see what themes are coming up. My favorite studio sessions are for Communion Portraits and it’s never too early to book for them!
Wishing You All
The Best In 2011.

Season’s Greetings!! Hope your holidays are full of surprises like our little Nutcracker ballerina popping out of the gift box on our cover this month! That is Isabella with her siblings Caitlin and Alex. We had fun shooting this as we actually had her crouching inside the box and had the kids lifting the lid off the box in surprise. Thanks for doing it over and over for us and for Chrissy at Shore Ballet for our venue.
Well my holiday season is winding down for shooting but gearing up in workload! I’m busy getting everyone’s holiday cards designed and printed and trying to get all the gift prints done in time. I’m so thankful for all my clients this year. I appreciate their business, their friendship, their loyalty and their constant referrals! If you are looking to get portraits done in the coming year, please consider my services and becoming part of my photography family!
Once again I would like to thank the owner and staff of Your Child Today for another great year of working together. I enjoy shooting the covers each month and meeting our feature families and visiting many different parts of our community. I wish all of them, the YCT staff and their readers a healthy, happy and fun filled holiday season to enjoy with family and friends. I look forward to another great year in 2011.
